  Detectives.

I read detective fiction by the ton and detective shows on TV have taken up more hours of my life that sleeping, so it seems reasonable that I must have written more about detectives than anything else.  The problem with writing detective fiction is it takes time.  In each story you have to perform the crime, leave all the clues and let your detective solve it.  This is the stuff that really needs finishing.

I write about two detectives.

  Mrs McGinty

Mrs. McGinty is a cross between Miss Marple and Bernard Manning.  To the outside world she is the quiet, innocuous little old lady but behind the scenes she is a beer swilling, wind breaking hellcat.  Along with her idiot nephew, Nigel, and her butler, Rogers, she is the scourge of the twentieth century murderer.

Mrs McGinty has her own website at www.mayfairmysteries.com

Doctor Holmes and Mister Watson

Doctor Holmes is an underpaid university lecturer until one day, a naked man turns up unconscious on his door step.  He declares himself to be called John Watson and will reveal nothing of his past.  Together, they get involved in a number of technological mysteries.

As I said earlier, there is very little of my detective material complete, however, here is a Christmas story I wrote a couple of years ago.
